SYNOPSIS: A dark adaptation of Stephen Schwartz's musical, the story follows the life of a boy who searches for happiness and fulfillment. The Leading Player and his troupe of demonic Players follow Pippin throughout his journeys and participate in the various temptations in his life, finally culminating in the Big Finale where the Leading Player and his demons entice Pippin to experience the ultimate glory - suicide. The Players lose Pippin in the end, when the love of a woman and child save Pippin from death. Endings to this musical vary, but this version of the musical ends with Pippin walking off with his love, leaving the child alone on stage...where the Leading Player and his demons begin again, surrounding the child.
